First Card for my Weekly Challenge!!!

Here is the first card for my weekly challenge...
During I was thinking gee I need to find a reason to do a card for that first week of March ... Going and going about trying to find an event to celebrate till Friday night I realized that that 1st week of March was already ending! Time goes so fast it is amazing!
Well here is the card I came up with...

A really fun Technique to Do!

I call this technique the foam resist technique... No idea of the real name but I am for sure quite exited about it!
I love to go from blog to blog to website to.... wherever the web takes me. Well in one of my Web traveling time I stumbled onto a card that was using this technique... So I had to share this one with you.

Supplies: You will need some ink color of your choice; a heat gun and some funky foam.
There is really nothing to it
  • choose your stamp
  • with the heat gun in your left hand and the stamp in your right (if right handed)
  • with he heat gun heat up the foam till the edges start to lightly curl up
  • as soon as you lift the heat gun away from the foam stamp firmly onto that section for several seconds.
  • you'll see then a nice impression into the foam.
  • the last step is to brush the foam with your ink pad then wipe it off with a paper towel.
If you try it out I'd love to see what it look like. ;)

Butterfly Shimering

Every month 10 of us get together and do a card exchange... No theme, no directions what so ever just make 10 cards and give one to everyone!
Whne I do the 1st card I find it amazingly gorgeous... By the time I get to the 10th one I most likely dislike or hate it depending on the difficulty of the card. But this one was not that bad... I kind of cased it from Pat but a lot less girly ish ...
Well here is a beautiful butterfly shimering away...

Before embossing the paper and before stamping the butterfly and sprayed the papers with a "perfect pearl" mix with water to give a light shimmering feel to the card!
(In a little water bottle I put a tiny bit of perfect pearl powder with water and a drop of ink vintage photo from Tim Holtz, shake well before using and keep your paper far from the exiting liquid). I noice touch is to add color more than an ink drop into the water and to use it on white paper.
